Salon With Childcare in Utah County: How Mom’s Oasis Works

Finding time for a manicure, pedicure, or facial shouldn’t require solving a childcare puzzle first. But for many moms, figuring out what to do with the kids can be the hardest part of making time for self-care.

That’s why Mom’s Oasis was designed differently.

Mom’s Oasis is a salon with childcare in Utah County, located in American Fork, where moms can enjoy manicures, pedicures, facials, and other services while their children play nearby in our Kid Corner. Parents remain onsite throughout the visit, allowing Mom to enjoy some breathing room without being far from her little ones.

It isn’t traditional drop-off childcare, and the Kid Corner isn’t a daycare or preschool. Instead, we’ve built short-term supervised play directly into the salon experience to make self-care more realistic for moms.

What Is a Salon With Childcare?

When we say Mom’s Oasis is a salon with childcare, we’re talking about two experiences working together under one roof.

Mom gets somewhere to relax.

The kids get somewhere to play.

Our Kid Corner is a short-term, supervised play space available while moms receive eligible services onsite. Children can enjoy a structured environment nearby while Mom gets her nails done, enjoys a facial, or relaxes during a pedicure.

The Kid Corner Is Not a Daycare

This distinction is important.

The Mom’s Oasis Kid Corner is not a licensed daycare, preschool, or drop-off childcare service. Parents or legal guardians remain inside Mom’s Oasis for the entire duration of their child’s visit.

Think of it as an amenity built into your salon experience rather than somewhere you drop your children off and leave.

Why That Works So Well for Moms

You’re still close.

But for a little while, you don’t have to entertain, multitask, or keep everyone occupied while simultaneously trying to enjoy your appointment.

That’s a pretty big difference.

How Childcare at Mom’s Oasis Works

We wanted using the Kid Corner to be straightforward from the moment you book.

Step 1: Choose Your Mom’s Oasis Service

Start by choosing the self-care experience you want.

Mom’s Oasis offers services including:

Step 2: Add Childcare When Booking

When booking online, select childcare from the suggested add-ons and choose the number of children who will be coming.

The booking system automatically matches your childcare time to your service, with a little additional time built in so you can relax in the Mom Lounge

Step 3: Check Your Little One Into the Kid Corner

When you arrive, you’ll follow the Kid Corner check-in process before beginning your service.

Then comes the good part.

You get to relax.

Your child stays nearby while you enjoy your appointment, and you remain inside Mom’s Oasis throughout their Kid Corner visit.

Step 4: Enjoy a Little Time for Yourself

Get the manicure.

Close your eyes during the facial.

Actually enjoy the pedicure massage instead of simultaneously trying to keep a toddler occupied. 😂

This is the reason we created a salon with childcare in the first place.

Who Can Use the Mom’s Oasis Kid Corner?

Our Kid Corner currently welcomes children 6 months through 8 years old. Children six months and older must be able to sit independently to participate.

How Much Does Childcare Cost?

Current Kid Corner pricing is:

  • $8/hour — first child
  • $5/hour — each additional child

Childcare is subject to availability, so we recommend adding it when you book rather than waiting until you arrive.

How Long Can Kids Stay?

Kid Corner visits are designed around the duration of your spa service, plus a little extra time if you’d like to enjoy the Mom Lounge before or after your appointment.

What Does My Child Do While I Get Pampered?

The Kid Corner was designed as a short-term supervised play space rather than somewhere children simply sit and wait for Mom’s appointment to finish.

Children can play nearby in a visible, structured environment while their parent enjoys their service.

Designed to Keep Visits Short, Calm and Engaging

Because the Kid Corner is intended for shorter salon and spa appointments rather than all-day childcare, the experience is intentionally structured around those shorter visits.

Parents are also never far away.

If your child becomes uncomfortable, feels unwell, or needs additional support, you’ll be notified promptly so you can return as needed.

How We Help Parents Feel Comfortable Using the Kid Corner

We understand that being able to get your nails done isn’t very relaxing if you’re worried about your child the entire time.

That’s why peace of mind is an important part of how our Kid Corner works.

Background-Checked Kid Corner Staff

All Kid Corner staff are background-checked and trained in child safety.

Parents Stay Inside Mom’s Oasis

Parents remain onsite at all times.

This keeps you close enough to return if your child needs you while still giving you the opportunity to enjoy your service.

Regular Cleaning and Clear Procedures

Our Kid Corner includes regular toy and surface sanitization as well as clear check-in and check-out procedures.

Experience Supporting Different Needs

Our Kid Corner team also has experience supporting a range of children, including children with sensory-sensitive needs.

Kid Corner Cams Let You Check In While You Relax

This might be one of our favorite parts.

Mom’s Oasis has two TVs displaying a live feed of the Kid Corner—one in the main salon area and another inside the Mom Lounge.

See What Your Little One Is Doing

Want to check on them during your manicure?

Take a peek.

Want to make sure they’re still happily playing while you’re enjoying a few minutes in the Mom Lounge?

You can do that, too.

The live camera feed provides another way to stay connected without repeatedly interrupting your service.

Why Childcare Can Make Self-Care Hard for Moms

One of the reasons we built Mom’s Oasis this way is because “just make time for yourself” can sound a lot easier than it actually is.

Parents have schedules to coordinate, meals to make, appointments to remember, work to manage, children to care for, and approximately a million invisible things running through their heads.

Cleveland Clinic describes mental load as the collection of thoughts, decisions, obligations, planning, and responsibilities we continually keep track of—and notes that it can be particularly heavy for parents and caregivers.

Self-Care Has to Fit Into Real Life

Telling a busy mom she should prioritize self-care doesn’t automatically make childcare appear.

Cleveland Clinic also notes that parents commonly put other people’s needs ahead of their own and discusses the importance of finding realistic ways to practice self-care.

That’s the problem we’re trying to make a little easier.

A manicure isn’t a cure for burnout. A facial isn’t a substitute for professional mental health support when someone needs it.

But making ordinary moments of rest more accessible can still matter.

What Can Mom Do While Her Child Uses the Kid Corner?

Here’s where Mom gets some choices.

Get a Manicure

Sit down for a structured gel manicure and enjoy having someone else take care of the details for a change.

Relax With a Pedicure

Give tired feet some attention with a Classic or Luxe spa pedicure while your little one plays nearby.

Close Your Eyes During a Facial

Enjoy a customized facial treatment and—this part is important—actually close your eyes. 😂

Enjoy the Mom Lounge

Your service doesn’t necessarily have to be the end of your break.

Spend a little time in the Mom Lounge, where you can sit comfortably, enjoy light refreshments, scroll your phone, read, chat with a friend, or simply enjoy doing nothing. (P.S. We even have custom dirty sodas that you can enjoy!)

And because one of the Kid Corner camera feeds is displayed there, you can still check in on your little one.

What If I Want to Get Pampered With My Child Instead?

Sometimes you need a break from the kids.

Sometimes you want a special day with them.

We built Mom’s Oasis for both.

Try Our Mommy & Me Spa Services

Our Mommy & Me services give moms and younger guests the opportunity to enjoy age-appropriate spa experiences together.

You can turn a manicure, pedicure, or facial into a little date instead of using the Kid Corner during that visit.

That makes Mom’s Oasis more than a salon with childcare. It’s also a place where self-care can become quality time.
