Mom’s Oasis Featured in Lehi Free Press: Salon With Childcare in American Fork

We’re incredibly grateful to have Mom’s Oasis featured in Lehi Free Press, sharing the story behind our salon with childcare in American Fork, Utah and the community of moms that inspired it.

The Lehi Free Press visited Mom’s Oasis following our grand opening and highlighted something that has been at the center of our mission from the beginning: moms deserve self-care that actually works with real life.

Mom’s Oasis combines professional manicures, pedicures, facials, Mommy & Me experiences, our Mom Lounge, and the Kid Corner, a short-term supervised play space available while parents remain onsite.

What started as an idea inspired by conversations with moms has become a space serving families throughout American Fork, Lehi, Pleasant Grove, Highland, Cedar Hills, Orem, and surrounding Utah County communities.

How Mom’s Oasis Started in American Fork

Mom’s Oasis didn’t begin with the idea of simply opening another salon.

Founder and CEO Madelynn Hatch worked as a licensed nail technician while attending BYU. During that time, she repeatedly heard clients talk about the difficulty of arranging childcare just to make it to a nail appointment.

After graduating, Madelynn decided to pursue her passion for the beauty industry and kept coming back to those conversations.

What if there were a salon designed around moms instead of expecting moms to rearrange their entire lives around the salon?

Madelynn and her husband took that idea and created Mom’s Oasis, a salon and spa in American Fork where moms can enjoy professional beauty services while keeping their children nearby.

A Grand Opening That Showed How Much Utah County Moms Wanted This

Mom’s Oasis officially celebrated its grand opening on March 28, 2026, and the response was bigger than we ever expected.

Approximately 250 people attended the celebration.

The event included a ribbon cutting with the American Fork Chamber of Commerce and local city leadership, appearances from Mrs. Utah American, Mrs. Utah America, and Miss American Fork, tours of the salon and Kid Corner, free mini services for children, dirty sodas, cookies, swag bags, and more.

But our favorite part wasn’t the size of the crowd.

It was hearing moms repeatedly tell us how much they had wanted something like this.

That reaction was also highlighted by the Lehi Free Press, which focused on the need for a place where moms could enjoy self-care while keeping their children nearby.

The Kid Corner: What Makes Mom’s Oasis Different

One of the biggest parts of the Lehi Free Press story was our Kid Corner.

And for good reason.

For many parents, booking the manicure or facial isn’t necessarily the difficult part.

Figuring out what to do with the kids is.

The Kid Corner gives eligible children a dedicated space for short-term supervised play while their parent receives a service onsite at Mom’s Oasis.

Parents remain inside Mom’s Oasis while their children are checked in. The Kid Corner is not a licensed daycare, preschool, or drop-off childcare service.

Instead, it was created specifically to support parents during their appointments.

A Salon With Childcare Designed Around Real Life

Mom’s Oasis currently offers manicures, pedicures, facials, and other self-care experiences alongside access to the Kid Corner during eligible appointments.

That means Mom can enjoy a structured gel manicure, relaxing pedicure, or professional facial while her little one plays nearby.

It’s a relatively simple idea.

But when you’re a mom trying to coordinate work, kids, appointments, school, naps, babysitters, and everything else?

Simple can make a pretty big difference.

Mom’s Oasis Was Also Featured by FOX 13 News

Lehi Free Press wasn’t the only local outlet that noticed what was happening.

FOX 13 News also visited Mom’s Oasis and featured our story, focusing specifically on how moms can take a break without leaving their kids behind.

The FOX 13 coverage spoke with Mom’s Oasis guests and showed the Kid Corner, salon, grand opening, and live monitor parents can use to check in on their children.

One of the moms interviewed explained that getting a babysitter adds another expense to doing something for herself and appreciated having somewhere she could go while keeping her kids nearby.

That gets right to the heart of why Mom’s Oasis exists.

More Than a Nail Salon With Childcare

The Kid Corner may be one of the first things people hear about, but Mom’s Oasis has grown into much more than a nail salon with childcare.

Our goal is to make the entire visit feel like Mom gets to slow down for a little while.

Manicures

Our manicure menu includes structured gel services using Luminary builder gel, with options for nail art, Gel X extensions, massage, paraffin, and other enhancements depending on the service you choose.

Pedicures

Come in, sit down, and give your feet a break too.

Our pedicure experiences combine professional nail care with relaxing spa elements designed to help you leave feeling refreshed.

Facials

Mom’s Oasis also offers professional facials, including our quick 30-minute Express Facial and more customized facial options.

Every facial begins with a skin consultation so your service can be customized around your skin and concerns.

Mommy & Me Spa Experiences

Sometimes Mom wants a break from the kids.

Sometimes the whole point is spending time with them.

That’s why another major part of Mom’s Oasis is our Mommy & Me spa experiences.

Children ages 14 and under can enjoy age-appropriate manicures, pedicures, or facials alongside Mom.

Our children’s services are intentionally designed to be gentle, short, engaging, and fun without becoming overwhelming.

It can turn an ordinary nail appointment into a mother-daughter date, birthday surprise, or simply an excuse to spend some one-on-one time together.

The Mom Lounge: Because Your Appointment Doesn’t Have to Feel Rushed

Another part of the Mom’s Oasis experience that has grown since our opening is the Mom Lounge.

It’s a comfortable space where guests can sit, relax, scroll, read, enjoy a dirty soda, or simply do absolutely nothing for a few minutes before or after their service.

And if your child is using the Kid Corner, there’s a live Kid Corner feed displayed in the lounge so you can stay connected while still enjoying a little space to yourself.

Because sometimes self-care isn’t about adding more to your schedule.

It’s about having somewhere you’re finally allowed to slow down.

From an Idea to a Community

Seeing Mom’s Oasis featured in the Lehi Free Press and other local media is exciting.

But what means the most to us is why people are talking about it.

Mom’s Oasis started because moms told us something was missing.

They wanted to take care of themselves.

They wanted to get their nails done.

They wanted a facial.

They wanted a break.

But sometimes childcare, schedules, cost, and the logistics of motherhood made even a simple salon appointment difficult.

So we built something different.

A place where you can come in for a manicure, pedicure, or facial while your eligible little one plays nearby.

A place where you can bring your child with you for a Mommy & Me experience.

A place where you can grab a dirty soda, sit in the Mom Lounge, and stay for just a few more minutes before heading back into the craziness of everyday life.

That’s Mom’s Oasis.

And we’re incredibly grateful that American Fork, Lehi, and the greater Utah County community have embraced it.
